Our history
Tierra Lejana was founded on the legacy of five generations of agricultural and livestock producers established in Argentina for over a century.
In 2008, the company acquired its first property in northern Argentina, and developed pulse cultivation in the province of Salta.
Driven by a strong commitment to soil sustainability, Tierra Lejana cultivates more than 9,000 hectares annually through a crop rotation and no-till farming system, complemented by cover crops that enhance soil carbon and increase organic matter levels.
In 2020, the company established a processing facility, initiating the handling, packing and exports of pulses and other commodities grown on its family-owned farms.
Today, Tierra Lejana operates as a vertically integrated company—overseeing production, processing, and export—ensuring full traceability and quality at every stage.
